Why-
I chose to imitate this professional photographer for two reasons. The first being he shoots in a really clean and crisp way. His photos make me feel like I am right there experiencing what the subjects are experiencing. The other was the fact that he actively produces multi-photo images of similar subjects. And since we needed to do both of those things for our project 2 it seemed like the logical choice. As for my approach to my images I wanted to show baby Stella's face up close looking very innocent. And then in the next shot you see what's actually happening, her mom is changing her diaper. I wanted to have a very warm and motherly feel to the shots so I made sure to do the shoot on a sunny day with lots of sunlight coming through the window.
How-
In order to make the shots feel very warm and motherly I did this shoot at four o'clock on a sunny day. The nursery that we did the shoot in has windows running all along the south wall. This allowed the light to flood the room and make it very light and airy feeling. I was really impressed with my little model for this shoot. She looked right into the lens on many of the shots and was a complete delight to work with.
Critique-
On this time through with my camera I felt much more comfortable setting up the exposure on the camera. I was really pleased with the lighting, and color of the images. They needed very little post production color touch ups. This time through I also was able to lower my ISO from the first shoot and reduce the digital noise substantially.
