Assignment 2 Plan

Who-
For this assignment I have chosen to recreate the style of the photographer Lorne Resnick. More specifically the lifestyle portraits of Lorne's portfolio. I found his work online, and really liked his use of depth of field and overall composition of his works. I will be recreating his style of diptych. He shoots part of the subject very close for one of the pictures, and then shoots the rest of the scene so you see what is actually going on. The subjects of my shots will be my girlfriend Sasha again, and her adorable niece Stella. I chose them because the new baby is a sight to see so I think she will make for a good subject.

What-
I plan to have one of my shots be a close up of Stella laying on her changing table making a funny face. The other shot I plan to have Sasha changing Stella on her table. I want to show the different emotions the two are feeling while both being in the same situation. Stella with her unaffected innocence, and Sasha with her very annoyed look.

Where-
The location that I have in mind for this shoot will be the changing room of Sasha's sister and brother in law. This room has great lighting coming from the windows that run the length of the room at eye level. It also would be where this scene would actually be taking place in real life so it is quite appropiate.

When-
This shoot will be taking place on Tuesday afternoon when the evening sun is coming through the windows  at the right angle. I want the images to have that bright and happy feeling, to give the impression that even though she is dealing with poop she still enjoys it because of the strong love that ties families together.

Why-
I think that this shoot will be successful because the style that I am imitating is one that is very well done and if I can successfully recreate it the images will be very strong.

Research-
Here is a link to Lorne's site with examples of this style of work.
